I have always loved all things food! My mom reminded me when I was little I used to collect all of her Cooking Light magazine issues (I think about 10 years worth!), spread them out on the living room floor, separate them by season, and cut out the recipes I wanted to try. Since studying nutrition in Seattle, traveling (or eating my way) around the world and now pursuing my Masters in Sustainable and Resilient Food Systems my cooking and food beliefs have evolved and continue to change.
Eating for me is not about following a certain diet or restricting myself from the things I love. Eating well starts with how you eat not just what you eat. It should be about enjoying real food, feeling better, supporting sustainable practices, and embracing community! Healthy eating is for anyone, no matter your budget. It should be delicious, fun, and stress free.
I am inspired by so many things around me and I want to share what fills my heart and my belly. I love checking out new restaurants, traveling around the world and exploring places right around the corner. I could say so much more but I will stop here.
